I don't as far as I know use it, what effect would it have if I disabled it from startup in W10, would it help my computer to run faster as it's become sluggish of late? Thanks.

no it's a pain in the proverbial, first thing I do is disable *** like that, more trouble than it's worth.
I'd honestly forgotten that Cortana exists on my computer! I certainly never use it and I've never come across anyone who has.
I killed Cortana, but I am becoming increasingly good friends with Alexa.

Thanks, I've disabled it.
No. Not if you don't want it. Mine's turned off.
You can uninstall it completely - Microsoft is getting rid of it anyways

Been trying to speed up my Personal Computer, following the 14 ways here;

Rehttps://www.computerworld.com/article/3029168/14-ways-to-speed-up-windows-10.html#:~:text=One%20reason%20your%20Windows%2010,PC%20will%20run%20more%20smoothly.&text=You'll%20see%20a%20list,launch%20when%20you%20start%20Windows.

I removed Cortana, from startup which might have made a slight difference, but then changed the power settings from 'Balanced' to 'High Power', and WOW what a difference that makes! It says it uses more juice, which might be important on a battery driven laptop etc. but does that really matter on a mains driven PC?

And there's still 12 more tweaks to go. :0)
Your links are broken.
Khandro, have you got an SSD? That's the best way to speed up your PC
