One For Sqad....or Whoever Has Experience Of Aged People
5 Answers
Went into see the Mater at her Home today, a mere 87 years young.
My sister has been designate #1 during lockdown.
She has lost a lot of weight but seemed okay but for being a little more cuckoo with her Mixed Dementia - to be expected. However, my sister pointed out one thing and this was when her hands were turned over so the ventral side of her fingers were showing. Her blood vessels, presumably veins, had dark blue blotches in them, about 1/2 cm long..and we wondered what these could be.
I maybe wrong but Peripheral cyanosis for me is when the hands, fingertips, or feet turn blue because they are not getting enough oxygen-rich blood - and it tends to be a discoloration rather than distinct blotches that these are - almost akin to a small bruise in the blood vessel.
Grateful for your advice, as always....
