I'm a useless liar, ha
You cant just hand out large sums without the MWSD's getting involved!

You need to do it like Ummm says.
Nothing in life would give me more pleasure than making those I like and those I love, happy
What's MWSD?
"Nothing in life would give me more pleasure than making those I like and those I love, happy"

Oft said (& ignored!) - money doesn't buy happiness. I'd be quite concerned about the effect any large gifts would have on the recipient(s).

I would make a sizeable donation to Monkey World though!
I’m sure they’d be very happy, why wouldn’t they be ,anyway out of a million, I’d hardly call it a large gift
I've known people go completely off the rails receiving fairly modest unexpected windfalls.
Dave....don't agree. Money does buy happiness and more precisely, contentment.

Robbing Peter to pay Paul is a very lonely place.
George Clooney gave 14 close friends cheques for 1 million dollars each, those who had helped him when he first started out in the movie business, i thought that was a lovely gesture.
They know his worth though, Emmie, nothing like a lotto win.
Davebro, Monkey World would be on my list of charities as well as the Donkey Sanctuary and a few others.
I'd give a nice lump sum to the charity I got Toby from. The lady who runs it can't keep up with all the poorly strays, and she keeps them in pens in her back garden before getting them to fostered. Small charities need all the help they can get.
No, I would tell nobody. Stay in the same house, make sure we had enough never to worry, go privately to doctors and hospitals, give some to my son and his wife and the rest to charity. And probably buy a new vehicle that would better suit our needs. Noone except close family need ever know. If I was younger I would use it to set up an animal rescue centre and spend most of my time working there.
im with the £1m isnt much these days people
True Bednobs. We should be talking about billions, or multi millions at the very least! Do homes and assets count when you assess the wealth of someone?
