Quite possibly.

My point was less about the subject matter than the ill manners of the couple involved, and my willingness to simply say nothing because an argument would be pointless and unpleasant.

Part of the pleasure of dining with strangers is getting to know interesting people - the downside is biting your tongue when some of them are boorish and rude.

Ahhh, just scratching that persistent itch that arises when you’re out of your depth on any given subject then. Shame there’s not a cream for it. It’s irritated you for years. :o)
Scratching and worrying are not the same thing, and neither are caused by posts on here - even though some imagine that they are
