I had a bit of an accident in February and now it is the time to start renewal paying insurance.

I have a broker here in Belfast and they have quoted me fully comprehensive £62.10 a month for ten months ie £620.

Is that amount normal. Thanks for any answers

Oh dear - so many variables. Have you checked with comparison websites?
what was it last year? mine is about 1/3 of that
I also pay less than a third of that and have done for years. I think that's very very expensive unless you are either very young, drive a superpowered car or just considered a liability :-)

£500 a year but I do believe that my insurance goes up because of the accident.

I have to use a broker as I never could communicate on the phone.
Mine is about £300 pa for a Toyota RAV4. Clean license, 10 years NCB.

If your accident resulted in a claim your premium will be increased but the % taken off will be the same if you had protected NCB. So 500 up to 620 not unreasonable.
mine's £300 based on 2000 miles a year, which is about all I did even before Covid, in a Jazz. I'm old but I haven't had any accidents. But there's a bit of a postcode lottery in these things. £600 might be normal for Belfast.
Yes, location matters - my sister pays £450 for a much smaller car but she lives where there are a lot of "crash for cash" incidents.

(large Asian population!)
Hubby is paying £400 fully comp and he had an accident last year (not his fault). This is London.
