Starting Nursery
My three year old daughter has just started nursery on Monday and I ended up spending the whole session with her because she kicked and screamed "I want my mum." This happened again on Wednesday. She is quite shy and I have never left her with anybody before except my mum. The first day I hid and watched her for almost an hour and she screamed the whole time and wouldn't let any of the staff console her. Has anybody got any tips because this is just wearing me down and breaking my heart. Thanks in advance.

Had to share great news! I had to take my son to a doctors appt today so my mum took my daughter to nursery. She stayed with her for half an hour and then told her she would be back later. She moaned for a short while and then was good as gold. How brill is that? She collected her 2 hours later and was told that she was good as gold. I just hope it lasts. My mum's going to take her for the next few sessions to try and establish that routine. Thanks all of you for your support. Keep your fingers crossed that it continues xx
