Fox problem
4 Answers
A young fox seems to have taken up residence in our garden. We don't mind as long as he stays outside and doesn't destory anything, but the other day he came in and spent some time in our dining room before we realised. It was very difficult to get him out. Does anyone have any ideas for fox deterrents? Would a fox bite you if you cornered it? Thanks.

If you have pets, you need to keep it out of your garden as well as they carry sarcoptic mange.
If it continues to be a problem, phone your local RSPCA and they can trap the fox and take it away.

If it is suburban fox it wiill be probably quite "bold" and could possibly bite if cornered. The bite, if puncturing the skin could be quite nasty carrying all sorts of infections.
Although I am very anti fox hunting and think they are wonderful creatures, they do carry all sorts of parasites and would not be welcome in the home.
It depends on where you live. It's the same with wood pigeons. In the country they are completlely different to the city feral pigeons which are vermin.
Don't know of any deterrent. In some cases a fox will flee from a cat, in other instances a fox will attack a cat and even have a go at a small dog.
I think your best bet is concact your local council for advice,.
Good luck.
