I never considered myself to be lazy but now that I have read the judgements on here about people who buy bags of grated cheese, ready boiled eggs, jars of sliced lemon, and ready chopped onions (all of which I buy from time to time) I must declare myself the laziest in the land.

I often think it's interesting that every new modern convenience is greeted with glee, the latest vacuum cleaners, washing machines or TVs - but when we get to food the mood changes
I embrace convenience in the kitchen, partly through necessity and partly through having better things to do as well.
I also have good neighbours who open jars if I struggle.

Yes I would. When I was doing slimming world if I hadn't sorted lunch, the Mark's and Spencer round the corner used to do boiled eggs with spinach, which was syn free. I also am with poly I have a hand disability and cannot chop onions nor grate cheese safely. I can only chop carrots if I use my boobs to steady them:)
sometimes its easier to have frozen vegetables available, times when you are only cooking small amounts now and again, saves you throwing fresh stuff out, if I make mash I make a large amount then freeze the surplus to save wasting potatoes, I'm not a fan of pre shredded cheese but that's because it always has a waxy weird texture but if you like it why not.
Morrison's were selling poached eggs a couple of years ago but I don't know if they still are.
