Now that the warmer weather is here and we all have our windows open, its important to remember that a loud TV or radio can be annoying to your neighbours.
Another good way is to set fire to their dustbins.

I know of another reason to keep the windows shut. Yesterday evening I was amazed to see a huge hornet hitting the kitchen window and then the surrounding brickwork. It was an enormous beastie :(

We see quite a few of those, Choux. We call them "planes" because they sound like they have a Merlin engine.

But they are surprisingly non aggressive and we've watched them chasing down flies- and wasps. Mind you, I wouldn't want to share my house with one!

we're getting one of those big basements under our house. Not that we want it, but the ants are busy digging already.

Not something we've really been troubled by. Yet. The damn mozzies are building up - but then we have a pond on 2 sides of the garden.

Last year we suffered with ant and beetle invasions, but we've moved since then.

But in terms of annoying your neighbours, our farmer neighbour gets shedded and then plays sea shanties thru his speakers. I find it hilarious. His wife less so!!
