Does anyone agree that ‘Alexa App’ is one of the poorest pieces of software in existence?
We inherited our kitchen Echo when our daughter left it behind -later deregistering it.
Now it’s left to me to try reregister it.....!
What gets on my goat is why Amazon don’t have a ‘ skill’ to simply give you stage by stage instruction on getting reconnected (we do have a separate Echo Dot in the lounge) The only device help is to tell you to refer to the Alexa app which I find virtually useless.
Any AB help would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to register it in the same way you registered your Dot.

If that doesn't work you may need to put it back to factory settings first by holding down the microphone off and volume down button for twenty seconds
The app and useage is fine. I have a couple of pre used ones and had no probs setting up.

I hadn’t realised that the various models are ‘hyperlinked’ which reconnected pretty quickly- problem solved!

Thank you all for responding!
