wanting restrictions to be lifted just so they can get married or go to a nightclub. How would they feel if all their guests got Covid and then spread it? Are weddings really that important? Is a night out in a crowd of sweaty drunks so crucial?

Always knew what to expect from ''cannabis, heroin, valium''
//You are coming across as pig headed, Nailit. I don't know why you posted this thread//

I didnt!
Its okay to be scared Nailit, some people hate the idea, but just grit your teeth and just try not to tremble too much when they jab the needle in. Worst side effects I have heard of are feeling a bit crap for a day or two. Go for it- you wouldnt need to go around feeling frightened and selfish any more. Job done.
Sorry - I'm tired.
Nailit - do you wear your mask when you deliver food?
I've had Covid and have since received both my vaccines. I recently had community acquired pneumonia and was pumped full of antibiotics. Today I phoned my GP because my son has given me yet another cough / cold and she's put me on Doxycycline.

I am enormously grateful that I have access to medicines and vaccines when I need them There are people alive in this world who would give their right arm to have access to what we have and all too often take for granted. If a new Covid vaccine is launched in winter I will grab it with both hands....to protect myself and my loved ones.

In my local area there are hardly any cases - and I'm sure it's no coincidence that there's extremely high uptake of the vaccine round here.
Spungle, just imagine a few decades ago.
No need to be scared, just grit your teeth!

And no more morning sickness.
Just a few kids without limbs,

I just want to be sure that something is safe before i put it in my body....thats it!

Yes!

Nailit, you've been drinking to excess periodically in all the time I've known you on here. I'm sure the vaccine carries less risk than what you've caned in alcohol over the years. No offence!
Just for the record, I know someone thats died from Covid,
Get sick of been called a conspiracy theorist (Im not)
Just not that convinced by a vaccine thats been produced in less than a year.

No offence taken :-)

//New Judge, I can only think of three reasons to not get a vaccination: fear, ignorance and selfishness.//

There are medical reasons, for example those suffering from severe anaphylaxis. Then of course there is the simple reason that they may just not fancy it (which should be equally respected). Compulsory medical treatment (which includes, as the statute specifically mentions, vaccination) is illegal in the UK. Parliament believed there was good reason for that. Castigating people for not agreeing to medical treatment largely goes against Parliament’s reasoning. Personally I believe anybody not having the vaccine is very foolish. But I respect their decision because that’s what it is – their decision. We’re not all the same.

// Some discussions are not worth the effort. Stay safe everyone.//

In your case that usually means not everybody taking part agrees with you, anne.
Thanks, NJ, happy to accept "medical reasons (as advised by a medical professional)" as another reason. "I don't fancy it" comes under one of my other headings. Which one depends who's saying it and why.

Nailit, how long did it take the flu vaccine then?? How do you know how long any vaccine has taken???
//"I don't fancy it" comes under one of my other headings.//

You don't respect that explanation, then?
No, not really. It's a bit pathetic. But whether or not I respect it, I'd classify it as being driven by fear, ignorance or selfishness.
It may well be a bit pathetic but that's just part of the human condition.
You can't fight mother nature.
ye cannae change the laws of physics......
