name of b film

i remember watching a b film when i was younger with my family about an american aircraft that crashed in the desert. Its based on a true film. The airmen are waiting to be found one of them keeps playing with his baseball and mitt, but they are all ghosts and when the bodies are found they are all found bar one and he is left in the desert all alone. This has been doing our heads in for years could anyone please help. thanks

I bought it on eBay - excellent film - just as good as the first time I saw it many 'moons' ago...
