Anyone On Medication For Cholesterol Or Blood Thinning?
32 Answers
I'm 62 and I'm lucky not to have needed the doctors very often but I was wondering if I have slipped through the net as everyone I speak to my age is on some kind of medication as mentioned above but I am not. Any thoughts please?

We’ve both been taking statins for a number of years, it’s that long ago I really can’t remember. I’d rather take them than not as it keeps my levels within guidelines.
Low dose aspirin is recommended to help reduce the risk of colon cancer and other digestive tract cancers.
My feeling is we all make our own minds up about whether or not to follow the guidelines. I care not what others do, I just do what I feel is right for myself.

I'm 71 and not on either of the ones you mention. I just have my inhalers for asthma (and I take an anti-histamine a day in Spring and Summer as the nurse recommended, because some pollens set me off). Recently I've been on Xalatan drops in my eyes to reduce the pressures because I have developed glaucoma, but after my cataracts were removed, 1 in April & the other in May, the pressures have returned to normal limits - so I'm hoping that at my check-up in August I will be able to stop the drops.
