Had to go today and see why this gumboil won't go away. He has told me that the tooth is decayed and I will always have this problem.

I now have have to get another two teeth removed in July but this time he is giving me sedation.

I just wonder whether I will have any teeth after this if this keeps on going. He did say either hold onto the gumboil and teeth or no gumboil and no teeth.

I am so fed up with it all.

I can sympathise, I'm in the same situation. I've been in pain for weeks and had 2 courses of antibiotics but have to lose the tooth. My dentist said the first available appointment was 1st November!! Luckily they phoned today with a cancellation. I never thought I'd be looking forward to going to the dentist!

^^^ sorry but that's the whole thing I'm not in pain, just a jelly baby on the gum. At least I have a month to see what happens. ie if the jelly baby goes down then I will have to rethink.
Teeth are a pain when they are coming in and a pain when you have to lose them aren't they jennyjoan . And I'm such a coward when it comes to the dentist!

tell me about it honey - I'm definitely the world's worst patient. But I do try and tell myself - sure it could be much worse ie worse news ie cancer etc.

we're good that way thank God - for now.

You do always think you are the worst, but today a little old lady sat beside me - beautifully dressed but painfully thin and of course proceeds to talk to me via the mask. I had to tell her I couldn't hear her so politely she took the mask down - we were pretty far apart but I was able to lipread her. She told me she was so nervous and in fact her little slim body was shaking and her wee head was shaking cos she was getting stitches removed from under her gum. She was so gentle, next she was called and as she came out - I just wished her well, so I guess there are many many people like us out there. But jeepers we would just like it all to stop.

then like double trouble comes along at the same time. a friend of mine who had stepped back re friendship, everything, coronovirus, family troubles had just stepped back the last year or so - but you wouldn't believe after 2 years of non-talk, rang me this morning to invite me to a party - just as I was walking out to the dental appointment. Isn't that always the way. But we will meet next week - I hope. We are 60 years friends.

Barry the teeth are on their last legs LOL. It will be 5 weeks I have the gumboil but have a further appointment July so I'll wait and see what happens. Thank goodness it isn't painful otherwise I would be saying "gedditt out"LOL
if you have a chronic infection - the dentist says you have/will have

then I would have it cleared - chronic infection makes you feel blaaaah when you should be feeling - hey presto !
