I can understand going teetotal but why would you drink simulated alcoholic drinks?

It might stop people becoming 'over-refreshed' when watching football matches, I suppose.....and then making chumps of themselves.

But, generally, I find that alcohol-free varieties of alcoholic drinks are less than successful.

@15.57.I disagree,i drink Becks-Blue Label lager and it is much better than the real thing,ordinary Becks.

Non alcoholic wine isn't too bad. I don't drink lager/beer so wouldn't bother with those.

I think it's a state of mind. You feel like you're drinking so it chills you out without getting drunk.

Those of us that can't drink alcohol are glad to have an alternative drink at a bar or party. One can only drink so much water, tonic water or coke.

surely that's the same as "one can only drink so much non-alcoholic beer" though - it's just another soft drink, in the same way that tonic, coke and lemoade are
