ebay - no tickets

i recently bought tickets to a concert that was happening today. However the tickets never came...the seller claims he sent them in the post, however just standard postage, not recorderd or anything, they should have arrived well before today but havent and doubt they will. Is there anything i can do to get my money back off him?

unless he stated that they would be sent recorded there is not much you can do. It actually states on ebay that postage times and delays are not down to the seller. You will have to put that blame on Royal Mail.

Saying that, I would still ask for a refund, if not at least a partial one.

Has he actually sent them.

Any reputable seller would offer recorded delivery If this wasn't offered I'd be asking why and did he actually have the tickets in the first place!

If you don't get them, put in a claim against him on ebay. Without proof of delivery, ebay and paypal will find against him.

Take him to court. Once they know you're serious they may give in a send you a refund.

How did you pay for these tickets? Unless you paid via PayPal, I can't see a solution that isn't going to cost you any money.

If you have paid via PayPal, you need to report the seller to them immediately. As a precaution, they freeze any funds in his account and communicate with both you and the seller to resolve the issue.

I think when you are purchasing something like this, you should always request that goods are sent via recorded delivery. But why not ask the seller for his proof of postage? Whenever somebody posts a parcel, the receipt given to them will act as proof of sending.
