Is that just on AB though or wherever you go on the web?

If it's only on AB, there's not much that you can do about it. If it's whenever you open your browser, it's almost certainly due to malware. Download and run AdwCleaner to zap it. (There's no installation involved. You simply run the downloaded file and allow it to remove anything nasty):

I'd be tempted to EITHER . . .
(a) reset Chrome to its 'out of the box' settings, which might well get rid of the problem. (See 'Reset your browser settings' here: https:/ /suppor t.googl e.com/c hrome/a nswer/2 765944? hl=en ) ; OR
(b) switch to Slimjet instead: https:/ /www.sl imjet.c om
Slimjet is my own choice of browser. It's based upon the same 'developer level' browser (called Chromium) that both Chrome and Edge are but it's faster and comes with a built-in ad-blocker (which you can disable on sites like AB). If you decide to install Slimjet, see my post at the very bottom of this page to see how to get it looking just the way you want: https:/ /www.th eanswer bank.co .uk/Tec hnology /Questi on17295 80.html
