Had steak and chips tonight. I like ketchup with my chips. Picked up the bottle, started to unscrew the top and then, WHOOOOOOOO. It exploded everywhere. I was totally covered,, the table had a fair bit but the carpets suffered badly. Spread over a large area, the carpet is beige and the rug under the table is a beige patternered one.
It took me ages to clean the carpet. My clothes are still soaking in soapy water. I think maybe something is wrong with the ketchup, it did a little fizz a few days ago but this was horrendous.
Do you keep it in fridge Caran or cupboard?
Sometimes if it becomes too warm, it can invite fermentation and bottle will exploded due to gas in bottle.
