when should i prune it

After it has flowered , depending on which ceanothus you have .I have got Ceanothus Paget Blue which is fabulous in late spring .Once it has flowered I cut it back. It's a bit of a thug as it grows and spreads rapidly.I don't prune ..I take an electric shearer thingy to it .Looks a bit ragged afterwards but it soon bucks up and resumes it thuggish behaviour !!
