Problem With Chromebook
6 Answers
Morning all
I have a Lenovo Chromebook that suffered a slight "mishap" on Friday. Somehow my wife managed tp drop a glass of pop some of which found its way onto my chromebook. After drying it off it just completely shut down although the power light was still on. Opened it out flat and put it in our airing cupboard overnight - success. Recharged and all is well apart from one thing - my bluetooth mouse is very hit and miss. Sometimes it moves sometimes it doesn't. It is shown as being connected and bluetooth is on. Have tried another bt mouse, same result. I am now using a wireless mouse which is fine. Silly question but can anybody give me any idea how much it might cost to rectify this ? Sorry for the long post.

Before spending any money make sure that your bluetooth drivers are up to date, this tells you how to check for updates manually:

After updating, shut down your Chromebook and reboot. That may solve the issue.

What model is your Chromebook? As far as I can tell on most of the Lenovo Chromebooks the internal bits for bluetooth or also part of the wifi card. If that is the case and your wifi is working I can't see that your bluetooth is damaged.
I'm sure you have given the Chromebook a good wipe down but be sure that the areas both sides of the touchpad are squeaky clean.
