The English nation can still be proud of their national team who lifted their spirits and gave us all a feeling of pride during this pandemic ,I’ve been away for the weekend and the patriotism was everywhere with the St George Cross flags and red and white balloons arched at entrances , bunting adorned the log cabins , the weather today coming back is torrential rain but I’d say we’re all still on a high with pride

He doesn't make the right subs and he leaves them too late.

He has a squad to match any squad in the world but has a negative approach to the game. He had a golden opportunity to change his usual reserved attitude after going 1-0 up so early but no...he invited the Italians on and paid the price.

I agree about the subs, they should've come earlier, Mount in particular was completely ineffective, but his results over the last three years have been superb. He deserves his crack at Qatar 2022, although conditions will not be on his side for England's pressing game.

From what we are led to believe, the squad have been practising the taking of penalties and the five who took them against Italy were the 5 best. Imagine if Grealish and Sterling had taken one and had missed. Then we discover that there were others who had performed better in training? The cry would have gone up, "Why didn't he use those who were the best in training?"

Danny, you are stating the bleeding obvious! How would you suggest we recreate the red-hot atmosphere of a penalty shoot-out for further practice sessions? There is only so much one can do to prepare for certain situations.
