Here's a local statue of a cat which used to lie in or on top of a bus shelter until its owner returned from work - much loved and admired by all the locals (and passing bus passengers like me) except some moronic yobs who kicked it so badly it had to be put down. They should be flogged . . . . . . .

Yes it was, sorry to introduce a bit of a sour note into this delightful thread. But the plus side was the way the (understandably appalled) local community reacted, not only plastering the bus stop with tributes, but commissioning the memorial.
