my van wont turn off when i take the key out , anyone know the cause ? someone told me but i cant remember.

sounds like the carburettor sticking, i had this problem a while back.
This usually happens when the timing is out, and it's over advanced. Either retard the ignition slightly yourself, if you know how to, or get a garage to set if for you.. should only take a couple of mins.

Depends if it's petrol or diesel.

If it's petrol the above answers may be correct.

If it's a dielsel there's a solenoid that cuts off fuel to the engine when you turn off which is what stops the engine. This may be sticking open.

yea ure right jake ive had the fuel solenoid problem before on a diesel
