I Had A Very Nice Day
20 Answers
After an invite, and some thought, I decided to do a bit of voluntary work at my old workplace...the homeless drop-in.
I should have done it sooner...greeted by open arms from old workmates, new people explaining they were so pleased to meet me as they'd heard such good things about me, and one co-worker said it was good to have my energy back. Phew! What a boost!
The only sadness was hearing that some clients/ service users had died.
I'm knackered though...my legs were screaming when I got home. Not used to it.

Tilly...I'll be back next Monday. One day a week is enough for now.
It's all very different from when I was there. Far fewer clients, only 6 are allowed in at a time...and then only for an hour. As it is, we didn't get that many...it was very, very quiet. Maybe due to the heat. Nice, it used to be quite hellish with 20 or more manic youngsters bouncing off the walls.
