OH was just telling me where he was working today (outside) that people kept bringing them drinks (iced) and one lady made them lunch.

So kind.

I fell over about 10 days ago, while stepping off a curb in a busy town area. I was with some of my family. It was such a shock. Luckily I didn't hurt myself, just bent a few ties back...
My daughter was panicking, I told her I was fine. A young family saw what happened and came running over to see if they could help. I assured everyone I was ok. It was so nice to think that strangers care. Heart warming.

I think it's most peoples first reaction, Patsy. I seen a lady fall off her bike and I jumped out of my car, keys still in the ignition, and ran to help her.

The men in a van behind me gave me a thumbs up, they'd watch my car while they phoned an ambulance.

That happened to me Patsy a number of years ago in Totnes...a town with a very steep, narrow, and cobbled high street. I fell and banged my knee. A young man came out of his flat and gave me a cold drink as I sat on the kerb, and waited for the initial pain to wear off, and I was able to hobble uphill and find my husband.

Yes, .most people are quick to react to help. The family that rushed to help were very young, with two toddlers. So lovely and caring of them. Good job there is people like this out there.
The kerb was on a corner and I misjudged it. Strange thing, I didn't feel embarrassed, just glad I was still in one piece!

That's the first time I've ever fell over. Hope it's the last..

I'm super clumsy. My OH thought I was exaggerating so I phoned my mum so she could confirm all my accidents :-)

I went to Birmingham to meet up with friends. Glorious summers day, fell over walking into the hotel, not a drop of drink consumed at that point.
