Hi I bought some tickets to a concert but unfortunately cannot attend. The company has said they will refund the money but so far nothing shows in my Bank.I paid with Paypal. Can I claim the money back through Paypal? and does anybody know PayPal's free phone UK number please.? Thanks.
The ticket vendor isn't obliged you to refund you because of your inability to attend the concert. If they've agreed to do so, it's purely a goodwill gesture; I can't see PayPal backing your claim when (in strictly legal terms) you've not got a valid claim anyway.
So, unless the vendor holds good to their promise to refund your payment, I reckon that you've lost you money. (Sorry!).
For the record though, PayPal's customer support number is 0800 358 9448.
I had a refund only today from Paypal. I had cancelled a Screwfix order by phoning Screwfix, who processed the refund and I had confirmation e-mails from both Screwfix and Paypal within 15 minutes.
It's the selling company that initiates the refund via Paypal...you shouldn't need to contact Paypal yourself.
i was thinking that - whenever i have a paypal refund it firstly goes into my PP account. If the payment originally cam out of PP credit it'll stay there. If the payment came out of my bank account via paypal it takes about 5 extra days to get into my bank account
