Does anyone know where Vikki Pollard`s character is based from?

I think I remember reading somewhere that Vicky Pollard is actually based on someone in the street Matt Lucas interviewd in his student days.

Just found this on a website -



"MATT Lucas has revealed that his Little Britain character Vicky Pollard is based on a 12-year-old boy he met in Bristol town centre.

Vicky, who says �yeah-but-no-but-yeah-but� was born when he made a film asking passers-by in a Bristol shopping centre the question: �How are you?�

One boy answered: �Yeah-but-like-dunno-cos-like,� and he parodied the voice."

I think the look of Vicki was based on a girl in a cover photo of a magazine ( possibly "The Face" ).

Good old Bristol:D My mum reckons i have a slight Bristolian accent. We live about 10 miles from there:/ Also there have been names mentioned in the vicky pollard scenes that i actually know. Coincidence???
