That's where the famous "What first attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?" question came from.
Debbie (sorry, the lovely Debbie) McGee was a guest on the MrMeron Show, hosted by Caroline Aherne who got away with the most outrageous questions in her persona as a harmless inoffensive little old lady.
What is usually forgotten, mainly because it was lost in the laughter of the audience, is Debbie's reply - "He wasn't a millionaire when I met him ..."
Other such legendary questions were - to footballer George Best, notorious alcoholic - "If you hadn't run around so much, do you think you wouldn't have got so thirsty?
and my favourite, was to boxer Chris Ewbank, just after his defeat by Steve Collins.
Ewbank is known for someone who is unsure which is larger, is absence of a sense of humour, or his virulent homphobia, so when Mrs Merton asked him -
"Chris were you surprised, like we all were, when Steve Collins came up behind you and licked you in the ring?”
To say he was not amused would be an understatement!!!

ladybirder - // Didn't know Chris Eubank was a homophobe. Especially living in Brighton & Hove for so many years.
Ooops sorry, nothing to do with the OP. //
He also advises me that I am not a man.
Not just me - any man who does not have sons.
Not sure where that leaves his father-in-law, but let's not let a little pedantry get in the way of Mr Ewbank's perception of himself.
