Had A Great Day Out At Blackpool Today

Armed police (and several squad cars and a riot van) turned up at Coral Island with armed officers detaining a girl and looking for an accomplice. (To what I have no idea) Nothing found on a web search of local news in Blackpool tho...
First time that Ive actually seen armed officers.
Plenty of people with their cameras tho....

In other news, I stuffed myself with fish and chips, a burger and ice cream....
And it was hot....
Scattered a few of my Mums ashes about. She loved Blackpool!

I'm a big fan of Blackpool too, many memories of happy days gone by.

Used to take my 4 children there twice a year for holidays and often for the day out. They have many happy memories of Blackpool, but none would take their children there nowadays for longer than a few daylight hours by the seaside. even then they are likely to come across the odd 'zombie', out of his/her head on 'spice' no matter whereabouts on the sea-front they walk.

Yep Pauln90, that was the incident,
but it was definitely a female that they had their guns pointed at.
Says in the link that a MALE had been detained. Although they WERE looking for someone else as well as they stopped another guy but let him go after a few minutes.
Curious.

Ken, so many down and outs in Blackpool now but think its the same im most large cities.
While waiting for our coach home, half a dozen scruffy individuals all crowded into the disabled toilet and wouldnt let a guy in a motability scooter use it. Shame there wasnt a copper about then.
