It is a genius idea of an app, like most brilliant ideas, simple and easy to use. I've heard of people being rescued when they had no clue where they were.

That works on my laptop but on my phone it gives the B'ham location - very odd.

Hmm, a gimmick rather than a long term thing I suspect.

Still if some are happy to use it then its not problem. Better than some apps like TwitFace.

Watched a helicopter rescue type programme. A young man had a cycle accident in the middle of nowhere. One of his friends had the app and they were pinpointed easily. Better to back up spoken words with phonetic alphabet to override accents.
