went away for the weekend and travelled on the m25 mr mally didn't get out of 2nd gear for most of the journey crawling along at 7 miles an hour it took 3 hours to go 100 miles ,thankfully return journey was fine

which bit of the m25 was it? I only ever seem to have problems around Jct 22. I have NEVER been on that bit, day or noght when there hasnt been a problem

all of it ,every slip road off it was backed up ,never seen it that bad before normally get held up a bit round heathrow .
That's normal progress on the M25 - we allow for it now so we can be pleasantly surprised on the rare occasions when it's not a crawl.
I think the whole world was headed for the west country this weekend - on Friday a journey along the M5 that normally takes 2 hours, took 5.

my 100 mile trip usually takes 2 hours so 3 hours isn't horrendous
actually, thinking about it i may have just been unlucky at junction 22 - i actually have only been there about 20 times
