Having some personal experience with Howletts he could not have been fed to the tigers without a few people knowing, but there again there are certainly people who did know what happened to him and never told. An example of dedicated friendship among the upper classes for sure.

Whilst I think that level of dedication is rare, Prudie, I don't think loyalty is the sole preserve of the upper classes. I think many a shady character has similarly good friends.
