Does anyone feed their cats this? Either the regular or the 7+?
I've bought both in recent months both from Amazon and supermarkets. The most recent a 40 pack box of the 7+.
I thought I was imagining it but both cats are leaving 80% in their dish. Cleo is a bit fussy, but Toby normally scoffs it all and looks for more. It definitely looks different and smells less than appealing. I bought a few loose packets from the local shop and they seem fine.
Yesterday, I decided to check the most recent Amazon reviews and there seems to be a lot of complaints...with some even claiming their pets have been ill. It's being linked with changes in both packaging and recipe. Apparently there is also a FB group loaded with complaints.
Has anybody heard anything about this?

There has been lots of issues with cat foods recently, my own greedy girls are leaving felix as good as it gets in favour for Tesco or Sainsbury’s own
That's interesting, not heard anything and have always fed my two on this. I've not noticed any problems with them but the packaging has definitely changed. The flavour is now listed in multiple languages (about 20) and it has also been hard to get hold of during certain phases since Covid. I wonder if they are using a different supplier.

Browsing the net, I just read a discussion on mumsnet (don't shoot me!) about this. One poster contacted Purina and was told that due to covid/brexit/whatever, some of their production is now outside the UK, and local products are being used. Likely...or an excuse?
I don’t know but I do know that I could always feed mine felix and now they won’t touch it.
They are not fussy cats either
Thats i teresting. I haven't bought any recently and don't think I'll risk it.
I had to stop getting my Felix from Amazon due to B import issues. I am buying it locally and every so often one of the 6 will not eat but wait for the next one to be opened, another prefers the meat to fish. Not noticed any difference in smell. As far as I can remember the ingredients were always in other languages
Our current cat likes ordinary Felix, but not As Good As it Looks.
Previous cat was just the same.

Since posting this, I've learned that other products owned by Purina have changed recipe...and been soundly rejected by the pets being fed. In the case of one friend, it was Lily's Kitchen dog food.
The boxes have looked different recently.
Question Author
Yes, my friend said the packaging has changed for her dogs food.
I'll be checking the boxes of Felix in Sainsbury's when I'm next in there...before I buy any more.
I guess it's what they get used to and regard any change with suspicion. I used to feed my neighbour's cat with Felix pouches which he loved. When I got some Whiskas (Felix was sold out) he made it patently obvious he wouldn't touch it with a barge pole!
