Consciousness

Is there anything in the scientific literature that would
present consciousness as anything LESS than chemical interactions in our brain?

Where do we go go when we sleep? (non REM)
Are we ''THERE'' when we daydream....wherever 'there' is?

How do you KNOW that you are not in a dream right now? Or a Nightmare?

I know because it's Saturday night and I'm looking in on some of the greatest minds in the worlds of theology and psychology hacking away at the thorny subjects again.
