i hope that your day is a good one - anything on the horizon, care to share?
For the first time in a while i have nothing in the calendar except to sort out the on line shopping, which won't take long. I am still suffering with this sciatica, if that is what it is, codeine doesn't seem to be helping, anyone have any remedy that would like to tell me about that might ease the pain.

1) if you have pain, take painkillers. Life is too short to be curtailed and miserable because something hurts
2) codiene and co-codamol have the same medicine in (depending on strength) Co-codamol also has paracetamol in. Please be sure you dont mix and match with paracetamol, co-codamol and paracetamol unless you are sure you are not going over the top dose
3) Diclofenac is in the same category of drugs as ibuprofen. It might well be useful for your pain.
4) you need to take the full dose of whatever drug you decide for at least a couple of days before deciding if it's helpful or not.
5) Physio mightn't have been useful for your previous problem, but that doesnt mean it wont be useful for your current problem
you may well be doing all the things above BTW, but I used to work as a symptom management specialist nurse and that's why i cant help but be bossy about it. loads of people have the "dont take painkillers" mentality and i just can't understand it - if the pain isn't going away by itself, you are much better able to enjoy life if you do something to aid it along (in my opinion of course) Also, lots of people (and im not saying this is you) try something once, or at half dose then write it off as not useful
