Hello. If someone has left their belongings on my property and I have written a letter which I know they have recieved, asking them to remove them and given them a deadline of 3 months. Is it OK that this letter goes from me to them and not from a solicitor?

NJ might help.
You don't need to use a solicitor but you need to make sure that you comply with the provisions of Section 12 of the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977:

Thank you Buenchico, the letter was drafted by a solicitor friend but was just sent from home owner to previous occupier. The previous occupier is stating that the letter is not valid as it does not have a solicitors letter head

Thanks for your help.
Just dump the stuff.
it is valid

common idea that a letter has to be official
and asking is not the same as officially asking....
It is still valid

every now and then, people get caught out with letterheads
I think an MP used HoC paper for something ( not MP business) and got a rocket from some fella in a dress and frock coat
