I find it very odd how some of our resident lefties on here appear to think things will go their way if Johnson goes. In my mind Johnson is a liberal Green and I would have thought exactly what Gromit would have liked. If he goes hopefully the Tories will elect a fiscally sensible PM with proper Tory views. i.e a moderate right winger.

Genuine Tory MPs put service to the country before service to the party. It is increasingly obvious to them that having Johnson as a leader is doing the country a disservice. They can do better.

Johnson is just not any good. But the voters like him. Not many MPs like him for various reasons. If (or when) Johnson becomes a liability at the ballot box, the men in grey suits will not hesitate to replace him.
Wanting Johnson gone does not mean I want Starmer in No.10. I don’t like him either.

Question Author Raab refused to make a phone call last Friday to arrange evacuation of interpreters. We were told Zac Goldsmith made the call on Saturday instead.
Now, according to the Daily Mail, no call was ever made by anyone.
Given that the government were plotting their own speedy exit well before the runway rioters I would guess that none of their cabinet would have been available for a chat at any time in the last 5 to 7 days
