First day of the Ebor meeting today sees 3 small field Group races but also 4 large field handicaps. Hopefully there will be enough strong stats to whittle those fields down to a manageable size :-)

Me and partner had £50 each-way on Wink of an Eye today,Ken.Was it the horse or the jockey that lost us £100?
Question Author
I choose my selections based on stats and Wink Of An Eye did not meet any of the criteria for winning this race. In the last 10 years, no 3yo has won the race, and, again in the last 10 years, just one last time out winner has been victorious. The horse is probably best with some juice in the ground and was massively overhyped, imho, added to which the stable have had some well fancied types turned over in the last 7 days or so.
All of which means, neither horse nor pilot were to blame. You (and your partner) chose the wrong horse. I'm very good at that :-J

Favourite Battyeford Boy (2.50 Muss) let my e.w. ITV7 acca down. Would have been £67, too :-(
Speaking through my purse again unfotunately,Ken.
By the way,i was told the bookies were paying out on the first six places. If true,we might get some of our money back.
Question Author
Skybet were paying out on first 6, not all bookies.
Question Author
If you placed the bet with Sky, you'll get £77.50 back, so your losses will only be £22.50.
Not been in long and not missed much it seems, apart from a bit of disappointment. Nothing back on the 3 that won at pinched odds Novak letting down what would have been a nice 4 timer. Walked for about 4 miles, it was lovely down there on the prom. Done Sharvara, Umneyaat, and Cuban Dancer in the last 3 whilst I have a cuppa.
The 2.25 at York today is a killer conundrum. Good race.
Question Author
Got just short of £35 back from the late afternoon L15 i mentioned yesterday, 2 winners/all 4 placed. Repeat performance today would suffice with these 4 York contestants;

2.25; Summer's Knight @ 10/1 - 7 places
3.35; Global Storm @ 12/1 - 8 places
4.45; Aerion Power @ 8/1 - 5 places
5.20; Blackrod @ 11/2 - 4 places

Win singles, 20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £55, 4 winners = £10,990.

ITV7; Real World, Reach For The Moon, Morendo, Summer's Knight, Auria, Space Blues and Global Storm. (Too many 'shorties' for an e.w. acca).

In a bit of a rush, today. Small matter of a football match at Anfield kicking off in 30 mins - hate these early games:-(

Horrible grey day up here. A Chester meeting on that I have attended many times, usually in glorious sunshine on a warm day. Our friend is in attendance and I will keep an eye on his runners for an hour or so yet. A York punt E/W Acca, Trebles, Doubles.

Oman @22/1 2.25York
Primo Bacio @10/3 3.00York
Ilaraab @10/1 3.35York
Qaader @15/2 4.45York

The Top 3 with El Drama, Reach For The Moon, Morando, Indigo Girl, for the ITV7. Good Luck All.

Lost 2-0 but we actually gave them a game for about an hour. Could've had a goal or two ourselves. I feel a tad more positive than i did after losing 2-1 at home to Brighton last week.
Had a couple of quid on Fools Rush In, 1.40 Chester but have left the rest of the meeting alone. Fahey's stable still woefully out of sorts, been keeping an eye on his runners over the last few weeks, during which time he's had just 3 winners from gazillions of runners.

No luck at the races here Ken. Saw the result go through ... I feared it was going to be worse I must admit. The boys playing well again. We were like a green mean machine against Swansea mid-week, so my punt on them may not be just tilting at windmills. Couple of my brothers are going to todays game. I has been a while.
