"Forty out of the first 45 schemes to be approved under the fund in March had at least one Conservative MP."
That’s because a lot of the poorest areas have Tory MPs since the last election Corby.
We shall have to wait and see how the high court rule.
Without seeing the evidence it is impossible to decide if the charge has merit or not.
Until their verdict, it is a bit pointless arguing the Government’s guilt or innocence.

Meanwhile up here in Scotland,£600,000 has went missing from the SNPs accounts. Also posted missing is Sturgeons(err)spouse.No-one has seen the eejit for ages.Probably down in England seeking refuge from her ladyship.
Cant tell from the article, like Gromit says we shall have to wait for the evidence to be produced from both sides at Court.

Its a pity we are wasting tax payers money like this but things do need to be out in the open.

Perhaps the Tories should not bother with levelling up and just keep the funds down South. Easier to justify as that is where most is generated.
isnt it the government's (of any flavour) job to decide how to distribute taxpayer's money? Isnt that the main reason we have a government?
Good very good idea that tthe politicians arent trusted and have to give account for their actions

after Cameron it is a hard hard lesson ( as in - - - dont they have enough? clearly they think not)

this is not corruption as we know it - - tarts boudoir at No 10 etc

They just can't help having their fingers in the Tax payers till , can they. - - - is classically a Labour failing

Tory failing - they are power mad and start wars.....

Sort of, bednobs.
I suppose you shouldn't spend it all on people who voted for you or you'd like to vote for you in future.
Although I'm sure it's pretty standard.
// National Audit Office, (no) supporting information to explain why they had been chosen. ....The Public Accounts Committee had also said.... concerns of "political bias" .////
from the link - heavily edited for short attention span ABers

the two great audit bodies of parliament have already stuck their fingers in the Pie - - PAC dates from 1658 - whining here and minging there.....

This looks like a JR ? does anyone know
High court ( civil ) admin doesnt really do corruption
// Sort of, bednobs.//
