Joko, don't complicate things, just buy some Aunt Jemima pancake-mix.
You don't make pancakes with baking powder! Flour, egg, water and a pinch of salt. Don't know how to make waffles, they are potato-based. In any case, Andrew's Liver Salts are a purgative, designed to clear your guts, not cooking.
Google indicates that Asian cooks sometimes use Andrews Salts to aerate foods such as naan bread but Google also points out that about one part in six of Andrews Salts is made up of Magnesium Sulphate, which is a laxative. So you'd need to be careful if you wanted to try Andrews Salts in your own cooking.

I assume that you must be aiming to make American-style pancakes (e.g. https://www.marthastewart.com/338185/basic-pancakes ), as I've never heard of including baking powder in British ones (e.g. https://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/main-ingredient/eggs-recipes/basic-pancakes ).

Self-raising flour can provide what you need for waffles. (e.g. https://www.theshabbycreekcottage.com/waffle-recipe.html ).

Only the ones that you eat with a fry-up (for example) are. Most waffles (such as the beautiful ones you can buy in Belgium https://www.europeancuisines.com/sites/default/files/Belgian_Waffles_in_Brussels_Waffle_Shop_Window_0.jpg ) definitely aren't!

sanmac - if i was going to go to the shops i wouldnt be asking this question
Joko, I realized that when I re-read your question. Anyway, wait until you go shopping and then you'll really have a hankering for pancakes:)
Flour, egg and milk is all you need to make pancakes.
joko, have you a neighbour who might have some baking powder...or who could pick up some for you?

Diddly...joko wants to make American style pancakes, for which baking powder is needed.
I make my American style pancakes with self-raising flour. I don't add baking powder.
I thought baking powder was just bicarbonate of soda - isn't it?
I use Yorkshire pudding mix for pancakes no baking powder
Baking powder is bicarbonate of soda which has added cream of tarter.
i make american fluffy pancakes often and they do need a rising agent like the baking powder
09.07.sadly most people dont know their neighbours.
Sorry - I have no idea what American pancakes are!
