This is Nadia Nadim.

She was born in Afghanistan. Her father was murdered by the Taliban when she was 11 and her family fled to Denmark on the back of a truck.

She is a top female footballer who once played for Manchester City. Nadia has scored almost 200 goals in professional football and represented the Denmark National team twice.

She has completed medical school and is studying to become a restorative surgeon when her play days are over.

She speaks 9 languages fluently and is on Forbes list of the most powerful women in international sports.

If you want to show your daughter a role model, show Nadia Nadim.

I wonder how she would have fared under the Dirty Old Men that we've now left to run her home country.

I think this is Canary’s backhanded way of criticising the government by saying what’s happened in Afghanistan
is our fault. He forgets if we hadn’t been there it would have happened far sooner. The Taliban never went away.
