Electric Toothbrushes

Not sure where to post this question but never mind, here seems as good as anywhere. Over the last year i have purchased seven, yes 7, braun electric toothbrushes which are supposed to be rechargeable. How come when they go really slow and I put them onto charge do they not work at all afterwards - won't even switch on? What on earth am i doing to them? They charge up a few times then all of a sudden break. I have tried the obvois like using different charges, different plug sockets etc but it still keeps happening. Any body have any ideas? It doesn't happen to the rest of the families brushes either but i must admit i do clean my teeth alot more than they do

They normally have that little stump on the charger that you put the brush on, in order to charge it don't they? If it's one of these, you can see that hole in the brush handle needs to be really clean to allow the charge to occur. I'm not suggesting it's filthy or anything but try giving the hole on the bottom of the handle a real clean out, then place it on the charger and give it a go.

i tried that and they aren't dirty anyway - don't last long enough to get dirty. I am using the charger that was supplied with the tooth brush and plugging into a normal wall socket via that shaver adaptor thing they need. It works for rest of the family but not mine?

I thought I was having same problem with mine but here's the quirk-the shaver socket only has power going to it when the bathromm light is switched on! Is this normal?

re the electricity - That's normal - stops accidents.

I'd suggest you change the plug for a 3 pronged one, you should have no more difficulties.

hey - i found out whats happening - i let the battery go flat that don't turn toothbrush off while its charging so it never gets going. Have turned brushes off then charged them now they all work. so simple but isn't everyhitng when you know how. Anyone need a toothbrush - i have 6 spares!!!
