Hi I am Thelands daughter I posted on his account to inform everyone of his passing. He passed away in his sleep on Saturday 28th August at approximately 1.30pm he had gone to bed the night before after struggling more than words can say. We think he knew that he was going to pass as he had told my mum he was at peace with himself and "ready to go".
He slept through the night and when my mum tried to wake him with a coffee and some boiled eggs he was in a deep deep snoring sleep, mum went to the bathroom and when she came back to the bedroom Dad had passed away in his sleep. Myself and my five brothers along with my mum will miss him so so much but I am proud of the man he was and how he coped with his long term suffering. X

It is indeed mamyalynne. So very glad he died so peacefully. I really feel as if I have lost a friend. Deepest condolences to you and the whole family, Binksy. So many of us are thinking of you and Theland.

Thank you for your kind words about my father, he will be missed so much by everybody who knew him on and offline. I'm proud that you classed him as a friend and feel that I will learn much abut my father by scrolling his posts on here. I believe I may have months of reading to catch up on!

Thanks you Binksy for telling us that. I thought of him as a friend and am so pleased not that he has died but pleased that he is no longer suffering and in pain.
I was unfortunate enough to watch another friend die of this terrible disease and had to helplessly watch her pain. Please pass on my condolences to your family.
RIP Theland you are flying high now.

sorry to read this news, but am not surprised. sad that he will no longer post on the GMEB thread as he used to do so often, being unable to sleep. Sleep well now my friend, your suffering which was considerable is now over.
