Just wondered if roadman got back to us regarding his neighbour?

I think it might be worth phoning the police to ask for an update with the crime number they gave you.
They may not automatically get back to you, but I think they should give you an update if you phone them to ask for one.

i am back i will probably call over the weekend and see if there is any information there is a small detail i could give them to make it seem like not just a catch up call you see the thing is there is a light in the upstairs that comes on every night stays on all night goes off again in the morning its like a solar light or something im not sure but it wasnt a recent instalment either it has always been this way i should probably tell them so that if they go at night and see the light they dont think oh someone must be home kind of thing

I would say that it is not only acceptable but quite expected too. Why else would you have reported the matter to police if you were not concerned?

I do not understand your hesitancy to follow this up.

There is a difference between wanting to know about something and needing or having the right to know about something.

Some folk might want to know the outcome of this mattet but they don't actually need to know it, do they?

If ROADMAN wants to ask or doesn't want to ask the police, that's up to him and if he gets an answer, he's not obliged to let us know.

i want to know the outcome because im nosey and still slightly concerned but I am nervous that they will say sorry No because of data or other reasons and i dont know why but it makes me nervous

Do what you want to do but don't feel pressured into doing it to satisfy anyone else wanting to know.

If you ask and the police tell you they cannot tell you anything or they can give only certain information, that should be the matter closed as far as you're concerned.
