Had a letter from the hospital today asking me to go for a procedure.
To learn about it they gave me a link to this
http:// www.nhs .uk/Con ditions /CT-sca n/Pages
When I put that in, it says This site can't be reached and underneath it says
Check your DNS over HTTPS settings
Go to Opera > Preferences… > System > Use DNS-over-HTTPS instead of the system’s DNS settings and check your DNS-over-HTTPS provider.
I've no idea how to do this, can anyone help please?

That link sends me to a CT scan, but on my letter it says CT Colonoscopy Virtual and CT Thorax.
I was supposed to have been given a booklet explaining it at my clinic appointment, but it was a telephone consultation, not in clinic and they never mentioned about a booklet.
Perhaps I should phone them on Monday and request the booklet.

Contacting the clinic/hospital would be the best thing to do for information about *your procedure*.
In the meantime, I don't know if the following are of any help? -

From the Virtual Colonoscopy link.
///Your bowel must be completely empty for a virtual colonoscopy. You will need to follow a special diet for a few days and take a laxative before the test. Your hospital will tell you what to do.///
Well the hospital haven't told me what to do. Nobody has mentioned about a special diet or laxative .
Perhaps that info might be in the booklet

In my experience and have had many, the endoscopy unit should give you the details. Usually starting two days before no red meat, vegetables or fruit. I would have something like a fish pie. Day before boiled or poached egg on bread for breakfast then clear liquids. I would strain cup of soups chicken and Knorr spring vegetables none with milk in. 7 up. Liquid or solid jelly, weak black lemon tea etc. Sennokot tablets at some time and then some sachets to mix with water. They do not taste nice and I would have them as cold as possible with sips of ginger wine! Stay near a toilet, have baby wipes and some sudocream or other barrier cream to hand. If you have diabetes you should be given special instructions. You need to drink plenty of water or lime juice. The prep is worse than the procedure
I don't know how you can have a virtual colonoscopy, I had a real one about 10 years ago and was in hospital for it, as far as I can remember I couldn't eat the day before and when I was in hospital in the morning and had to start drinking lots and lots this really really horrible liquid to make me go to the toilet, the procedure itself was painless and I was watching it on a monitor whilst they did a biopsy.
