morning all, another early start, i hope you are well and that your day is a good one.
nothing on the calendar for today, if today is remotely like yesterday then good, as it was beautiful, sunny and very warm.

Yes, it does seem to have been a short summer but I don't mind cooler weather. I love the sun if I'm by a pool or on a nice beach where I can run into the water to cool off. I find it far easier to warm up than to cool down.

i prefer the warm weather, all year round would be lovely, i don't do well at all in the rain/grey overcast months we have, my mood goes to pot. That's why last year was so awful, endless staying at home, lockdown at least has stopped for now.

I'm pleased lockdown is over too, but I think people have to get back to work now. My husband said a lot of people supposedly working from home aren't 'working'. He often has trouble contacting people who are supposed to be at their home desk and aren't.

my friend often works from home - her company seem not to mind, as long as she gets her work/output done then that's all they can ask i guess.

i have found that councils seem to be the worse hit, alongside hospitals, trying to get through often is a nightmare.

I guess whether or not work can be staggered to suit depends on the job. I haven't had cause to call the council or hospitals, but I've had no problems getting through to doctors. In fact I like the telephone consultations more than the face to face appointments.

Good morning...wet and nasty down this way.
My daughter and her partner both work from home. She hates it...misses the social interaction and their bed is her desk.
That pub of yours emmie was probably frequented by my ex...he worked at Great Ormond for 10 years or so.
