For The Attention Of Buenchico

Hi Chris, I did as you suggested and bought inks for my Canon Pixma MG5650 from inkredible. They arrived today, I put them in, but my printer still won't print. When this happened once before, you suggested this and it worked. https:/ /www.th eanswer bank.co .uk/Tec hnology /Questi on16818 97-1.ht ml
Although it solved the problem that time, it still isn't working. I've tried it with the box checked and unchecked but it still isn't working. I don't think it's the inks as they look fine and have registered, so it must be something in the settings of my printer. Any ideas?

I suggest opening Notepad (or Wordpad). You'll find it under 'Accessories' in the program list accessed from your Start button. Just type a line or two of random text and try printing the document. Let us know whether it works or not.

Go to 'Device and Printers' (or whatever your version of Windows calls it).
Right-click on the icon for your printer and select 'Remove device'.
Restart your computer.
Reinstall the driver for your printer, either from the disc that came with it or by using the download from here:

Followed your instructions Chris but then it said it couldn't detect the device so I went back to devices and it was there with a green tick so I tried again and it said one of the inks wasn't recognised even though it was ok, I put it in again and it still isn't printing! I've had enough of it today so tomorrow I will uninstall and re-install with the disc I have and see what happens then. Thanks for your help though. If it still doesn't work tomorrow, I might think about replacing the printer as I have had it a long time now.
You should try to reinstall the drivers for your Canon Pixma MG5650 but at first make sure that all traces from the previous installation have been removed. You can do that using CCleaner. In case this is not working you can try to search for your Canon model here: https:/ /www.pr intrese tter.co m/canon -printe r-reset ter/. Not sure if there are any available resetters. However, in most cases it is a driver problem so make sure to reinstall them.
