AB is being inundated with adverts. Do these spammers really go through all the rigmarole of signing up to an account just to advertise totally inappropriate things to the entirely wrong demography? Seems strange to me.

I removed it and my computer, in all sorts of other programmes, was inundated with ads. I am seriously considering putting the ad blocker back on and forgoing the pleasure of AB. I don't think I would mind so much if there were not so many, and they didn't cover the writing.

//not worth the effort then is it?//
Far from it. A rupee is very little so if they only get one hit it mays for many attempts.
Many years ago I worked for a Life Assurance Company. Although I didnt peddle the rubbish we were sent on the sales courses.
One thing that always sticks in the mind is the expectation. For every 10 phone calls get 1 person who will allow a visit. For every 10 who visit 1 only one will buy.
But the profit was so good on that one sale it was worthwhile cold calling 100 people and vititing 10 of them to get it.
