I am invited to my niece's sort of afternoon tea next Saturday.
I haven't been to her house in about 3 years but she has done a lot of work outside- you know a big garden hill flattened, believe water feature, new wall and lights etc.
Anyway I know she doesn't want anything but I was wondering from you guys who can hear - does wind chimes get on your nerves, or is it nothing and can any wind chimes be nice cos that I was planning to get her - amongst other wee things of course.
Wouldn't go for the "wind chimes" jj. A neighbour a few years back had a set in his garden, the noise from them could be so annoying.
What about a small sun dial as a present ?
Best to see her garden first so you know what she has. Gift certificate from a garden centre then she can get what she wants. I do have wind chimes, mainly wooden ones but no neighbours
ok - glad I asked the question - won't be buying wind chimes then. I looked at the sun dial and it doesn't appeal to me either like I don't like how they look.
I'll think of something else. but thanks for the answer.
sorry - my mistake there - I was looking at sun dials but now see it is sun catchers - which what I've glanced there - some seem nice. maybe that's a better idea with no noise from them.
