Before I start to trawl through Amazon, Argos et al, does anyone know if windy-up ladies' (lady's') wristwatches are still out there or are they all battery?...the cheaper the better and I hope I haven't used a misplaced apostrophe! Ta Muchly and Keep Well.

I also have a Citizen ecodrive and never put it somewhere to 'charge' although I do wear it all the time. I can also confirm that it has spent 2 weeks locked in a room safe on holiday more than once and didn't lose power at all.

Many Thanks for your confirm too, Prudie!
Hi woodelf! So I think you need to tell us why you specifically want a wind up watch. Us telling you what we have doesn't really help you, smile.

My partner says to save on batteries - it's cheaper to buy a cheap watch than to buy a battery these days! - and as she seldom wears a watch...and she's got lots lying about the place, but no batteries...!
You are right, a quick check through amazon and Argos for example for wind up watches gives lots of results but when you look at the details they actually have batteries. Seems they are now considered vintage and attract a higher price. I've linked one from Etsy (love that site) but it looks like if cheap is the main key then argos has one or two very cheap battery watches. Cheap enough to throw away when it goes flat.

Watch batteries are cheaper than chips. There are new wind up pocket watches for sale but if you are determined to buy a wind up wristwatch you would be better buying a good make second hand
"to save on batteries"....well, you'll find that some (inexpensive) Casio watches have a lithium cell that lasts over 10 years.

Ta Very Much for your research Prudie, but since started, have spotted a possible in Argos, but will consider others too re Ginge and the Casio. Many Thanks All!
There are no wind up weather in Argos with the exception of one pocket watch

At present, partner has found a Chancellor swiss-made pendant watch, which is merrily ticking away since she wound it up just to see if it would... but it is at the wrong time, so when it stops, she is going to wait till the time is same as watch showing, then start it going again!...confused?...I am and I'm only just writing this!
There should be two positions on the winder tell her, one to wind and one to change the time.
Woodelf, why doesn't she just move the hands to the correct time by turning the winding-crown?
