Before I start to trawl through Amazon, Argos et al, does anyone know if windy-up ladies' (lady's') wristwatches are still out there or are they all battery?...the cheaper the better and I hope I haven't used a misplaced apostrophe! Ta Muchly and Keep Well.
I also have a Citizen ecodrive and never put it somewhere to 'charge' although I do wear it all the time. I can also confirm that it has spent 2 weeks locked in a room safe on holiday more than once and didn't lose power at all.
My partner says to save on batteries - it's cheaper to buy a cheap watch than to buy a battery these days! - and as she seldom wears a watch...and she's got lots lying about the place, but no batteries...!
Watch batteries are cheaper than chips. There are new wind up pocket watches for sale but if you are determined to buy a wind up wristwatch you would be better buying a good make second hand
Ta Very Much for your research Prudie, but since started, have spotted a possible in Argos, but will consider others too re Ginge and the Casio. Many Thanks All!
At present, partner has found a Chancellor swiss-made pendant watch, which is merrily ticking away since she wound it up just to see if it would... but it is at the wrong time, so when it stops, she is going to wait till the time is same as watch showing, then start it going again!...confused?...I am and I'm only just writing this!
